Blessings, Prosperity and Longevity Monastery is a branch monastery under the auspices of  Dharma Realm Buddhist Association founded by the most Venerable Master Hua (1918 - 1995). Dharma Realm Buddhist Association is an international Buddhist organization whose goal is to bring the ancient wisdom of the Buddha’s teachings to anyone who wishes to study and practice according to the canonical Buddhist tradition in this contemporary age.

As such, Blessings, Prosperity  and Longevity’s website is set up to make available the translations of the three major Sutras of Mahayana Buddhism to the general public in  Vietnamese along with the Venerable Master Hua’s lively and edifying commentary. The three piller Sutras that span the depth and scope of Buddhist erudition and practice are the Shurangama Sutra, the Avatamsaka Sutra, and the Wondrous Dharma Lotus Flower Sutra. The Shurangama Sutra is the fountainhead of the Buddha’s transcendantal wisdom, while the Avatamsaka Sutra is the wellspring from which the practice of the Bodhisattva Path flows. The Wondrous Dharma Lotus Flower Sutra elucidates the ultimate Path to Buddhahood.

The Vietnamese translation of these three Sutras is an ongoing project; it is our hope that by making them available to the public as soon as they are completed, we can harvest the collective wisdom of the worldwide community through input to futher refine and polish them so eventually they can be published in book form.

In addition to the translation projects, Blessing, Prosperity and Longevity Monastery also holds monthly and weekly Dharma events that are open to the public. (please refer to our Events page) We readily welcome anyone who is interested to come and practice to taste the joy of the Dharma. Our Dharma lectures are conducted in Chinese, English and Vietnamese to fulfill our Teacher’s wish to gather everyone into the folds of the Buddha’s kind and compassionate teachings.
